MAKING EVERYONE DATA AWESOME

Intersection conference 2022

A few years ago, Thoughtworks invested in setting up a data program to drive our internal operations to become data led. However, once the early adopters were onboarded and the initial euphoria was over, we started to find it very hard to onboard more business leaders. Data Awesome is a human centred approach to data that helped us build better empathy with our customers, a better understanding of the business context and a better dashboard for our users. The new dashboards made users feel empowered to complete what they had to do in a better way that they couldn’t do before.

SHIFT YOUR MINDSET ON ACCESSIBILITY & INCLUSION

YConf Europe 2022

How can we build more inclusive software? In the past 6 months, a small team in Thoughtworks has conducted dozens of interviews with digitally challenged people to learn how they experience software, what empowers them and what disables them. These conversations have completely shifted Sara’s thinking and she promises, they will shift yours. Expect to learn how someone with autism experiences software, and what someone that is digitally impaired struggles with. The talk is packed with actionable insights on how to remove barriers that you can apply right away. You don't need to be an accessibility expert to start making a difference in this space.

everybody is an experience designer

TEDx Talk 2015

Consciously or not we constantly design experiences for ourselves and for others. Deciding not to design is a design choice and usually, a poor one. Watch the experience formula unfold and create better experiences for the rest of your life.
